About TopHat HR and the Role

TopHat HR is a specialized consulting firm offering expert, tailored human resources consulting and management solutions. We are recruiting for a People & Culture Coordinator on behalf of one of our expanding SaaS clients. This role focuses on crafting exceptional employee experiences and fostering a positive, high-performing work environment.

This position surpasses the traditional HR Coordinator duties by emphasizing relationship-building, employee growth, organizational culture enhancement, and ongoing HR process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Advocate for employee engagement to cultivate an inclusive and high-achieving workplace culture.
  • Regularly meet one-on-one with employees to collect feedback, spot improvement opportunities, and support their success.
  • Design and implement employee engagement activities, recognition schemes, and team-building events.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for employee-related matters, ensuring a positive work experience.
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, record keeping, and HR administration.
  • Keep employee data and HR documentation current and accurate.
  • Create and refine HR policies, standard operating procedures, workflows, and internal documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with HR regulations and enhance internal processes continuously.
  • Coordinate new hire induction and training programs.
  • Support employee development initiatives, performance appraisals, and career advancement efforts.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and encourage a culture of ongoing learning.
  • Assist in recruitment operations such as scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and managing hiring logistics.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and improve candidate experience.
  • Partner with hiring managers to facilitate an efficient recruitment process.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • A true passion for fostering people development and enhancing company culture.
  • Experience with HR information systems and managing HR documentation.
  • Capability to work autonomously and manage various priorities effectively in a remote setting.
  • A proactive and continuously improving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in startup environments or SaaS companies.
  • Expertise in crafting HR policies, standard operating procedures, and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of performance management and employee engagement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms like Leapsome, Rippling, or BambooHR.
