Job description
Overview
Sulzer GmbH is looking for a Payroll Specialist (m/w/d) to join its People Operations team immediately. The role can be based at one of the following sites: Munich, Ingolstadt, Stuttgart, or Magdeburg.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the monthly payroll cycle from processing through final review and validation.
- Maintain, update, and create employee and payroll records in DATEV LODAS.
- Implement changes in tax and social insurance regulations, including DEÜV reporting and wage tax filings.
- Manage special payroll cases such as short-time work.
- Coordinate with health insurance providers, public authorities, external contacts, and sister companies.
- Help improve and further develop Sulzer’s payroll processes.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of payroll administration as well as wage tax and social insurance law.
- Practical experience preparing, checking, and analyzing payroll statements.
- Confident handling of DEÜV reporting, social insurance notifications, and wage tax registrations.
- Very good command of DATEV LODAS and DATEV data analysis systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Highly organized, accurate, and independent working style, with strong numerical skills and a sense of responsibility.
