Job description
Position overview
Sulzer GmbH is looking for a Payroll Specialist (m/w/d) for its People Operations team. The role can be based in Munich, Ingolstadt, Stuttgart, or Magdeburg, and the start is immediate.
Key responsibilities
- Run and verify the monthly payroll cycle for employees.
- Maintain, update, and create employee and payroll records in DATEV LODAS.
- Implement changes related to tax and social security law, including DEÜV and wage tax filings.
- Handle special payroll-related cases such as short-time work.
- Communicate with health insurance funds, public authorities, and external contacts, and coordinate with sister companies.
- Help improve and further develop Sulzer’s payroll and accounting processes.
What you bring
- Solid expertise in payroll accounting, as well as wage tax and social security regulations.
- Practical experience creating, checking, and analyzing payroll statements.
- Confident handling of DEÜV reporting, social insurance notifications, and wage tax registrations.
- Strong command of DATEV LODAS and DATEV data analysis tools.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting.
- An organized, careful, and independent way of working, combined with strong numeracy and a sense of responsibility.
