Job description

Role overview

At the Česká Lípa site in the Czech Republic, you will handle selected payroll activities for employees based at German locations while working closely with the Payroll team in Germany. The role offers a hybrid setup, so part of your working time can be completed flexibly from home. This position is initially limited to one year.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage payroll for a clearly defined employee group at German sites independently and ensure compliance with all applicable collective agreement and legal requirements in Germany.
  • Serve as a contact person for managers and employees, responding reliably to payroll-related questions through the ticket system, email, or phone.
  • Maintain and update master data in SAP HCM and process notifications and certificates.
  • Monitor and manage electronic time recording in SAP HCM.
  • Handle professional queries and complex individual cases in communication with authorities, social insurance providers, and tax offices.
  • Contribute actively to the ongoing improvement of payroll processes.

Profile and requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training or a completed degree in business administration, together with several years of payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of German payroll processing and German social security and payroll tax law is an advantage.
  • Experience working with SAP HCM is required, with initial exposure to SAP SuccessFactors being desirable.
  • Very strong German skills are needed for confident communication with employees and authorities, along with good English skills.
  • Willingness to travel for onboarding and spend time at the Wendlingen site during the induction period.
  • A highly independent, well-organized working style.
  • Reliability, accountability, and strong teamwork skills.

Additional information

The employment is initially fixed-term for one year. The setup includes hybrid work, allowing part of the role to be done remotely from home. During onboarding, on-site presence in Wendlingen is expected for a period of time.
