About Cytiva
Cytiva is part of Danaher’s group of operating companies and focuses on advancing life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology. The company supports work that contributes to saving lives and values diverse perspectives, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Its customers are involved in critical activities such as biological research, vaccine development, new medicines, and cell and gene therapies.
Working here means joining a team that aims to improve human health while continuously developing processes, capabilities, and individual growth. The role sits within the Finance & Accounting function and reports to the Senior Payroll Manager.
Role overview
The UKI Payroll Specialist will manage payroll processing from start to finish, making sure payroll is completed accurately and on time in line with Irish legislation and internal policy. The role also involves keeping payroll records accurate, reconciling reports, handling statutory filings, and supporting compliance reviews and audits.
This is a fully remote position that can be performed from either the UK or Ireland.
Key responsibilities
- Run each payroll cycle accurately and within deadlines, while tracking vendor performance and taking part in monthly review meetings with the payroll provider and payroll manager.
- Escalate any control breakdowns promptly to the appropriate process owners.
- Look for ways to improve service quality and efficiency, while handling queries from employees, HR teams, control partners, and outside bodies such as tax authorities and payroll vendors.
- Create and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and reporting documentation.
- Assist with payroll vendor transitions, consolidation projects, and service changes.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings strong end-to-end Irish payroll experience, along with the ability to review processes and controls, identify improvements, support change, manage payroll migrations, and balance multiple priorities.
Strong written and spoken English is essential, along with clear communication skills. The role suits someone who is proactive, results-driven, eager to learn, and willing to support colleagues where needed.
Additional requirements
- The role involves international travel of around 15%.
- Previous exposure to payroll transitions and payroll implementations would be an advantage.
Work arrangement
This position is eligible for remote working from home. Further details about the remote setup will be shared during the interview process.
About the opportunity
Cytiva encourages a flexible and sustainable approach to work and offers opportunities to contribute to meaningful science and technology initiatives. The company seeks people who want to make a tangible impact and grow within a collaborative environment.
