Role Overview
An opportunity is available for a Payroll Officer to join the Limerick office on a full-time, one-year fixed-term basis. The role sits within a busy recruitment environment and involves a broad mix of payroll and administrative duties connected to the wider service offering. The salary range for the position is €34,669 to €44,259 per year, with pay aligned to the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing multiple payroll runs across different frequencies, ensuring timesheets and holiday records are collected and checked, and reconciling hours on a weekly basis. The role also includes coordinating time and attendance administration, including absences, as well as setting up new hires, processing leavers, and handling payroll entries and adjustments.
In addition, the position involves responding to employee queries in a professional and timely manner, processing statutory payments in accordance with current legislation, and applying a strong working knowledge of payroll law, pensions, BIK, and related deductions. The successful candidate will also support Irish Revenue compliance and statutory obligations such as PAYE Modernisation, AE, PRSI, USC, and pensions, while carrying out periodic reviews and quality checks to maintain data accuracy and compliance. Strong Excel and reporting skills are also required.

The role requires someone who can work independently, function well within a team, and remain calm under pressure. The person appointed must be dependable, discreet, and comfortable handling confidential information. The duties listed are not exhaustive, and the line manager may assign additional tasks as needed.
Terms of Employment
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland. It is offered as a 1-year fixed-term contract.

Requirements
Candidates should have at least 2 to 3 years of payroll experience and must hold an IPASS qualification, or currently be working toward it. A solid understanding of payroll software is also required.

Accuracy, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to prioritise shifting workloads and meet tight deadlines are essential.
