About the Role
Peninsula Australia is hiring a Payroll Officer to join its collaborative Sydney headquarters team. It operates as a leading provider of HR, employment relations, and health and safety advisory services across the ANZ region, helping thousands of businesses manage their people and safety with confidence.
In this role, you will oversee accurate, timely end-to-end payroll delivery for more than 1,000 employees across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the full payroll cycle for Australia and New Zealand, including payroll changes, employee updates, variations, and termination calculations.
- Review payroll discrepancies, investigate differences, and resolve errors.
- Calculate and submit superannuation and payroll tax obligations.
- Support fortnightly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Monitor and manage the ANZ payroll inbox.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 2 years of payroll experience in a busy, high-volume environment.
- Sound knowledge of legislation and awards related to PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and employee entitlements.
- A qualification in Payroll, Finance, or Accounting is considered an advantage.
- Strong Excel ability, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation, and a quick learning mindset.
