Role overview
An established manufacturer in Lisburn is looking to add a Payroll Officer to its finance department. This position suits someone who works well in a busy setting and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
The role involves overseeing the prompt and accurate running of several high-volume payrolls, while providing a service that is both proactive and responsive. The successful candidate will help ensure strong compliance and smooth day-to-day payroll operations.

Key duties
- Coordinate the processing and delivery of multiple large-scale payrolls, making sure employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Handle payroll queries efficiently, offering practical support and resolving issues quickly.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end reconciliations, audits, and statutory reporting.
- Manage pensions, auto-enrolment, and statutory payments in line with payroll regulations.
- Support payroll administration across the employee journey, including starters, changes, and leavers.
- Keep time and attendance data accurate, and maintain records for annual leave and absence.
- Work with outside providers and assist with annual payroll and benefits tasks.
What you need
- At least 2 years of payroll experience.
- Solid understanding of payroll law, compliance, and pension administration.
- Hands-on experience with payroll, HR, and time-and-attendance systems, plus strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Good planning, communication, and analytical ability, with confidence working independently in a fast-moving environment.
- A discreet and professional manner; background in manufacturing or FMCG and familiarity with PAMS or North Time Data are beneficial.
