Job description

Position Summary

Given Talent Solutions is looking for a meticulous Payroll Administrator to oversee multi-state payroll processing. This role requires ensuring adherence to company policies, labor agreements, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Prior experience with union employee payroll and a solid grasp of payroll compliance are essential. Experience with Certified Payroll Reporting is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll runs with precision and punctuality.
  • Maintain comprehensive payroll records, including employee earnings, deductions, garnishments, and benefit contributions.
  • Manage payroll administration in alignment with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), covering union dues, fringe benefits, and wage stipulations.
  • Handle payroll tax filings and ensure full compliance with all pertinent regulations.
  • Generate various payroll reports and provide support for audits, reconciliations, and year-end procedures.
  • Oversee timekeeping systems and promptly address any payroll discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports for projects involving prevailing wages, if applicable.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Operations departments to guarantee the accuracy of employee and compensation data.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Demonstrated experience processing payroll for unionized workforces and interpreting collective bargaining agreements.
  • Proficiency in federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Certified Payroll reporting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Possession of a CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is considered a plus.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Stockton, CA.
