Role overview
We’re looking for a highly detail-focused payroll and accounting professional to join the accounting team in Wesley Chapel, Florida. In this position, you will help manage accurate time records and run biweekly payroll across two entities, including supplemental payments and bonus runs. The role also supports month-end closing tasks and account reconciliations, with a strong emphasis on accurate employee compensation and compliance with company rules and applicable laws.

What you’ll do
- Run biweekly payroll for two businesses on alternating weeks
- Check electronic timekeeping data, deductions, and payroll changes for accuracy
- Keep payroll records current while protecting confidential employee information
- Handle payroll coordination tasks such as benefits, HSA, 401(k) deductions, and weekly submissions to administration
- Make sure payroll practices follow federal, state, and local requirements
- Support payroll tax filings, W-2 preparation, and year-end payroll work
- Answer employee payroll questions and resolve issues quickly
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting files
- Carry out additional accounting and administrative duties as needed
Skills and qualifications
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience handling payroll through dedicated payroll systems and accounting software
- Understanding of medical deductions, HSA reporting, and 401(k) reporting requirements
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
