Role overview
We’re looking for a meticulous Payroll & Benefits Specialist to handle payroll operations and support employee benefits administration for a growing organization. The position is focused on making sure team members are paid correctly and on time, while also helping with benefits enrollment and responding to employee questions.
Key responsibilities
- Run payroll processing accurately and within the required schedule.
- Keep payroll records current, including deductions and tax-related compliance items.
- Answer employee questions about pay and work through any payroll discrepancies.
- Administer employee benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Handle benefit enrollments, updates, and employee exits from plans.
- Support the yearly open enrollment process.
- Maintain benefits documentation and ensure payroll deductions are applied correctly.
- Work with benefits vendors and assist employees with benefits-related concerns.
Experience and skills
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll and/or benefits administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll rules and employee benefits administration.
- Prior exposure to payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, or comparable systems is preferred.
- Strong accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
