Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Patient Service Specialist to join an outpatient physical therapy center in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time front office role sits at the intersection of patient care and clinic operations, with a focus on creating a welcoming experience from the moment patients arrive at the reception desk.
The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary and can include some evenings. Compensation is $20.00 to $21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Duties
- Welcome patients, complete registration, and explain what they can expect during the visit as well as any follow-up appointment details when they check out.
- Arrange patient appointments both at the front desk and over the phone.
- Stay in contact with external parties such as attorney offices, insurance carriers, translation providers, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
- Collect patient co-pays, coordinate payer approvals, and handle insurance verification and authorization tasks.

Qualifications
