Role Overview

We are offering a permanent full-time role based in Brisbane where you will contribute significantly to patient relations within the healthcare setting. This position features flexible working arrangements such as compressed work weeks and salary sacrificing options.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with patients, medical consultants, and external bodies regarding hospital fees and charges either face-to-face at client hospital sites or via telephone.
• Meet patients in hospital settings to acquire financial consent and relevant admission and private health insurance documentation required for fee collection.
• Assist in resolving billing inquiries from patients and health funds efficiently.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by developing and nurturing strong relationships.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, Privacy laws, and ACCC/ASIC Debt Collection Guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a comparable healthcare role is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Superior organizational abilities and effective time management.
• Knowledge of private health insurance processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in computer use, especially within the Microsoft Office suite, is essential.
• Capability to handle difficult conversations with empathy, particularly for vulnerable clients facing hardships.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Skilled in problem solving and negotiation tactics.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in tasks and documentation.

Additional Requirements
