About the Client

The hiring organization is a nationwide outpatient therapy provider with more than 1,200 locations and a workforce of over 8,000 people. Role Overview

As a Patient Intake Specialist, you will help patients gain timely access to therapy and functional testing services. This role centers on coordinating referrals, checking clinical paperwork, arranging appointments, and directing patients to the right clinic or specialist. You will also communicate regularly with case managers and other external partners to keep the intake process organized and patient-focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange evaluations, treatment visits, and specialty tests accurately and without unnecessary delays.
  • Examine referrals and medical records to confirm that appointments are set up correctly.
  • Use internal systems to place patients with the most appropriate clinic or specialist.
  • Act as a point of contact for case managers, attorneys, and other partners.
  • Review scheduling reports, identify gaps or issues, and work with others to resolve them.
  • Develop and sustain strong working relationships with clinics and referral sources.
  • Monitor outreach efforts and help clear up scheduling obstacles.
  • Handle other related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience supporting customers or patients in a phone-based or high-volume setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and calm problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and quickly learning new software or systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with the exact rate based on experience, background, and location. Benefit availability may differ depending on employment status and pay class.
