Role Overview

The Clinical Administrative Coordinator supports day-to-day clinical operations by handling member intake, helping coordinate care, and keeping communication flowing between members, providers, and clinical teams. The position is important to both service quality and operational efficiency because it ensures referrals, authorizations, and care coordination items are processed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage administrative intake for members.
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities, and internal clinical teams to move service requests forward.
  • Handle inbound and outbound referrals and prior authorizations, including intake steps and notification follow-up.
  • Support clinical staff by organizing documents and sorting cases for clinical review.
  • Respond to questions and requests from members and providers.
  • Assist with care coordination activities such as appointment scheduling and arranging supporting ancillary services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or comparable work experience.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare or health insurance.
  • Comfort using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Available to work full time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time, with occasional overtime flexibility.
  • Ability to securely manage sensitive company records while working remotely.
  • Private, dedicated workspace and access to an approved high-speed internet connection.
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare call centers or medical environments.
  • Preferred: clerical or administrative support background.
  • Preferred: familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT coding.
  • Preferred: call center experience.

Compensation

This role offers an hourly wage of $18 to $32, depending on experience and other relevant factors.
