Scene Health is revolutionizing medication adherence through an innovative 360° care model that modernizes Directly Observed Therapy using technology. Our approach includes personalized video coaching, educational engagement, and motivational support that connects healthcare providers, patients, and their families to address the $500 billion medication nonadherence issue.
Patients access our services via a mobile application allowing pharmacists, nurses, and health coaches to check in daily through brief video sessions from any location. We encourage active involvement and support to help overcome barriers caused by social determinants affecting health.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Engagement Specialist for Research and Clinical Trials to implement Scene's digital adherence monitoring programs in collaboration with academic and commercial research partners. Reporting to the Associate Program Manager, you will assist study participants in initiating and maintaining medication adherence through asynchronous monitoring critical for the success of investigational drug trials and new treatment interventions.
The role also includes overseeing clinical programs supporting patients with chronic and behavioral health issues, such as substance use disorders and mental health conditions, by motivating sustained healthy behavior changes. This position is fully remote and requires empathetic engagement with patients and clients nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily video submissions of patients taking medications, responding and documenting according to engagement and escalation guidelines
- Update and maintain detailed daily patient notes in a database
- Perform data entry, quality checks, and reconciliation to ensure accurate records
- Conduct technical training for study sites to assist patients with the Scene Health mobile app and troubleshoot platform issues
- Prepare written reports and keep records of program monitoring activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and features of Scene’s program
- Provide feedback and recommendations to management to enhance program and product offerings
- Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- High school diploma
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient with database platforms and mobile applications
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or equivalent practical experience
- Background in healthcare, clinical research, or digital health environments
- Familiarity with substance use disorder, mental health care, and recovery support or peer support methodologies
- Experience with Directly Observed Therapy, peer counseling, or community health outreach
- Flexibility to accommodate alternative work schedules

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this role is $25 per hour.
