Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Patient Administrator experienced within the UAE healthcare sector to join King's College Hospital London, Dubai. This role centers on managing patient interactions, appointments, and billing within Radiology and Outpatient Clinics, supporting smooth clinical operations and delivering excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients to ensure a professional and pleasant experience during their visits.
- Accurately register patients and maintain meticulous patient records following hospital guidelines.
- Handle scheduling, confirmation, and coordination of appointments specifically for Radiology and Outpatient Clinics.
- Verify insurance eligibility, secure necessary approvals, and document patient information with precision.
- Administer patient billing tasks including processing co-payments, deductibles, and various medical financial transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with clinical personnel, radiology departments, insurers, and other relevant entities to facilitate efficient patient flow.
- Manage patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, insurance protocols, and confidentiality standards protecting patient data.
- Maintain high accuracy in data entry, report generation, and financial handling activities.
- Provide support to departmental operations and undertake other administrative duties when needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- Have at least 2-3 years' experience in healthcare administration within the UAE environment.
- Demonstrated background in Radiology and/or Outpatient Clinics in hospital or healthcare settings.
- Strong familiarity with patient billing, insurance claims processes, and cash management.
- Proficient with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and electronic medical records management.
Skills and Competencies
- Comprehensive understanding of UAE healthcare insurance systems and billing conventions.
- Exceptional customer service ability and capacity to build positive patient relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail coupled with commitment to accuracy.
- Competence with Microsoft Office suite and hospital management software.
- Capability to multitask and maintain efficiency in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong organizational aptitude and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
- Professional demeanor, approachable nature, and dedication to superior patient care.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including days and nights.
