About the Role
The Parts Purchaser Officer will handle the end-to-end procurement of genuine and approved aftermarket automotive components for European and American luxury vehicles. The position focuses on securing the right parts at the best possible price while protecting quality standards, supplier dependability, and rapid turnaround so workshop activity continues without delay.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source OEM, authentic, and approved aftermarket parts for premium vehicle makes.
- Collect pricing from several vendors to ensure the most competitive quote is selected.
- Handle negotiations on pricing, payment terms, discounts, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on each order until it is received.
- Give urgent repair jobs priority when arranging part sourcing.
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with both local and overseas suppliers.
- Review supplier performance using criteria such as price, product quality, stock availability, and delivery consistency.
- Create backup supplier options to avoid reliance on one source.
- Address and resolve vendor issues involving pricing disputes, missing stock, wrong parts, and warranty-related concerns.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Workshop Managers to confirm the correct parts using VIN data, EPC systems, and manufacturer catalogs.
- Check part fitment and compatibility before placing orders.
- Liaise with suppliers on superseded references and alternative part numbers.
- Interpret technical diagrams using technical software to identify required components and request them accurately from suppliers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of UAE experience in a similar role within workshops handling European and American car brands.
- Solid understanding of European and American luxury vehicles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
