Job description

Role overview

This position focuses on shaping and scaling partnership-led marketing for YouTube Premium and YouTube Music across APAC. The role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, with responsibility for improving co-marketing quality, driving paid starts, and increasing long-term customer value. It also involves building new partnership-led programs, extending Google’s subscription value proposition into partner ecosystems, and acting as the key link between global and regional teams.

Location and work authorization

Applicants based in Singapore will be considered with priority if they already have the right to work in Singapore and do not need visa sponsorship. Candidates can indicate a preferred working location from Singapore or Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Minimum qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 6 years of marketing experience across one or more areas such as growth, product marketing, brand marketing, or social marketing.
  • Experience leading marketing programs across several APAC markets in a digital environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • About 10 years of marketing experience, particularly in partnerships, growth, or performance marketing within APAC.
  • Experience taking a new initiative from concept to pilot and then to broader regional rollout.
  • Understanding of the subscription journey, including trial-to-paid conversion and lifetime value optimization.
  • Ability to influence global product and marketing direction using data-backed regional insights.
  • Skill in interpreting partner data and turning it into actionable marketing plans and executive-ready presentations.

About the role

In Google marketing roles, teams contribute across the full lifecycle of a product, from positioning and naming to competitive analysis, feature prioritization, and external communication. This role works closely with partners and cross-functional teams including sales, communications, legal, web operations, product, and engineering to support product growth through marketing.

As the APAC Subscriptions Partnerships Marketing Manager, you will lead the evolution of co-marketing efforts with strategic regional partners. The position requires both strategic thinking and strong operational execution. A major focus will be raising the effectiveness of partnership activations so they generate more paid starts and stronger long-term value.

You will also be expected to create new partnership opportunities beyond standard bundle campaigns, including innovative ways to weave YouTube’s value proposition into partner offerings. Another core part of the job is connecting global strategy with local market needs, especially in Japan, Korea, and India, while also helping spread successful regional practices across APAC.

Equal opportunity statement

Google is an equal opportunity employer and supports fair hiring practices. The company considers applicants without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or criminal history, where permitted by law. Reasonable accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities or special needs.

Additional information

This role is a full-time opportunity. Google welcomes applicants with the appropriate authorization to work in Singapore. The company also allows candidates to indicate a preferred location between Singapore and Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full marketing strategy for APAC subscription partnerships and build joint go-to-market plans that align YouTube Premium and Music with partner priorities.
  • Design, test, and scale new co-marketing ideas, including alternate distribution approaches, deeper product integrations, and lifecycle marketing inside partner platforms.
  • Work with partner teams across functions to understand operating models, evaluate partner-led campaigns, strengthen user journeys, improve creative outcomes, and remove funnel friction.
  • Serve as the main connection point between global subscriptions partnerships and APAC local leads, representing regional needs and sharing local ideas to shape global planning.
  • Maintain the APAC performance tracking framework, analyze initiative results, and use data to decide where to invest further or shift resources.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing across growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social, or related areas.
  • Experience managing multi-market marketing initiatives in APAC within the digital space.

Preferred profile

  • 10 years of marketing experience with emphasis on partnerships, growth, or performance marketing in APAC.
  • Ability to develop new initiatives from early concept through pilot stage and into regional expansion.
  • Working knowledge of subscription funnels, trial-to-paid conversion, and LTV improvement.
  • Strong data-driven judgment with the ability to shape global roadmaps from a regional perspective.
  • Comfort working with partner data and converting insights into strategy and leadership presentations.

Work authorization note

For Singapore applicants, priority will be given to candidates who already have the right to work in Singapore and do not require visa sponsorship.
