Job Location and Schedule

This remote opportunity is open to applicants residing in California or Texas, with a preference for those living in California. The role involves working 25 to 30 hours weekly, featuring a flexible schedule within the Pacific Standard Time business hours from Monday through Friday.

Role Duration and Compensation

The assignment spans from late August through approximately January with hourly pay ranging from $30 to $35, depending on education and experience.

Role Overview

The Temporary Part-Time Recruiter will oversee end-to-end recruitment during a staff member’s leave, handling diverse vacancies including frontline, program and property management, administrative, and director-level roles.

Key Duties

  • Conduct full recruitment lifecycle, from job requisition to offer extension.
  • Source qualified candidates, conduct screenings and interviews.
  • Arrange interviews and perform reference verifications.
  • Extend employment offers ensuring a positive applicant journey.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate recruitment records within the Rippling Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR for smooth hiring processes.
  • Ensure compliance with California state employment legislation and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably within non-profit organizations.
  • Experienced in recruiting across a range of positions and organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with ATS software; experience with Rippling is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of California employment laws and best hiring practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Indeed recruitment platform.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must pass a criminal background check successfully.
  • Residence in California or Texas is mandatory. California employees qualify for paid sick leave under state law.
