Part-Time Pet Sitter

About the Role

Passionately Pets is seeking a dedicated pet sitter based in West End Alexandria (22304) to provide compassionate in-home pet care and dog walking services. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to spend your workday actively caring for animals rather than sitting behind a computer screen.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver primary caregiving to pets when their owners are away.
• Take dogs on walks and engage them with enriching activities.
• Feed animals and maintain their fresh water supply.
• Clean litter boxes and cages regularly.
• Handle and clean pet accidents promptly and thoroughly.
• Inspect homes for any potential damage related to pet care.
• Provide regular updates and communication to management.

Work Schedule

• Maintain a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Candidate Requirements

• Must live within 3 miles of the 22304 area.
• Possess a reliable automobile and smartphone for appointments and communication.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and responsibility.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with a variety of pet species.
• Capable of performing duties outdoors in any weather conditions.
• Commit to a minimum engagement period of six months.
• Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

• Earn between $24 and $28 per hour, with the addition of tips.
