Job description
Introduction
Jovie is seeking compassionate, flexible nannies interested in working with multiple families on an on-call, part-time basis. This role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in childcare settings such as babysitting, daycare, or as a nanny, including retired teachers seeking a smaller, personalized environment. You'll have the freedom to design your schedule around personal commitments, school, or other part-time roles.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, in-home care for infants and toddlers without the requirement to transport children.
- Maintain cleanliness by tidying up activities or meals you oversee with children; no additional household chores involved.
- Deliver safe, nurturing care by engaging children through age-appropriate, hands-on activities tailored to their developmental stage, especially focusing on children under the age of two.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranges from $23.00 to $26.50.
- Paid training complemented by a nanny kit containing appropriate activities and games to use during childcare assignments.
- Career advancement opportunities within the childcare sector and priority placement for families seeking a consistent nanny, either part-time or full-time.
- Access to paid sick time for both part-time and full-time schedules.
- Additional benefits for full-time staff such as a medical stipend, paid vacation, paid holidays, student loan repayment matching, and retirement savings matching.
- Potential for mileage reimbursement, performance bonuses, social events, and contests to foster community and appreciation.
- Legally recognized employment with W-2 status, including unemployment insurance, enhancing your professional résumé.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience in childcare is necessary, whether paid or voluntary; specific experience with infants is mandatory.
- Reliable transportation and the willingness to travel to various client homes in the area.
- Availability to work at least three weekdays per week, 6 to 8-hour shifts, anytime between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness towards staffing supervisors, always presenting a friendly and positive attitude to families.
