Role Overview

The Kennel Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing of boarding and daycare pets. Responsibilities include personalized caregiving, monitoring animal health, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting day-to-day operations of the pet resort environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized care by providing proper feeding, exercise, and attention to pets in boarding and daycare to promote comfort and safety.
  • Observe animals closely for any changes in behavior or health and communicate any concerns promptly to the medical team.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas, runs, and outdoor grounds to maintain a healthy environment.
  • Manage inventory for food and cleaning supplies and collaborate with the team to maintain smooth operational functioning.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Passion for animal welfare and a genuine love for working with animals.
  • Dependable and hardworking with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
  • Effective communication skills, sound judgment, and the capability to remain calm during stressful situations.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Previous kennel assistant experience is preferred. Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays is required.
