About the Role
The School of Education at St. Bonaventure University seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support for the Counselor Education department. This remote role focuses on clerical and managerial tasks related to the online Counselor Education program, working closely with the program director and regularly engaging with faculty, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support primarily for the program director.
- Assist students to supplement faculty advisors’ support, constituting roughly 70% of duties.
- Develop and maintain workflows and procedures to enhance operational efficiency (approximately 10%).
- Perform additional duties as assigned (around 20%).
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in office administration or related fields preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year in a relevant administrative position; 2 or more years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Technologically adept and capable of managing digital workflows.
Work Conditions and Terms
- Part-time, 20 hours per week.
