Job description
Role Overview
This position involves performing advanced parole administration and supervision duties within the Institutional Parole Office. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving parole supervision activities, managing parole investigations, and overseeing parole release plans and reports. The role requires coordinating case assignments, conducting case analyses, and supervising other staff. The incumbent operates under general supervision, exercising moderate independent judgment and initiative.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess either 60 accredited college credit hours combined with 5 years of experience in criminal justice, case management, case processing, or military service, or a bachelor's degree accompanied by 3 years of experience in these areas. A strong familiarity with the Board of Pardons and Paroles procedures is essential.
Additional Information
- Salary for retirees will be 2.5% less than the posted amount.
- Travel: Occasional day trips may be required, but no overnight travel is expected.
- Pre-Service Training Academy is not required.
- This is considered a hazardous duty and longevity position.
- Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory for candidates from outside the agency.
