We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Paralegal for a fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave for a minimum of nine months. The role centers on supporting the General Counsel with diverse legal, governance, and operational tasks, focussing especially on real estate matters related to our BatteryBox portfolio, company secretarial governance, and insurance management across the AMP Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide crucial support to the Legal team by managing high-quality legal, administrative, and organizational tasks.
  • Coordinate the execution and secure management of legal documentation and repositories.
  • Assist legal and development teams with property title checks, land registry and SDLT submissions, and associated filings.
  • Handle statutory filings for all AMP Group entities including confirmation statements, officer appointments and terminations, People with Significant Control updates, share allotments, and other Companies House requirements.
  • Maintain precise statutory registers and corporate records.
  • Support governance procedures, compliance practices, and corporate structuring activities in the legal team.
  • Manage ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data collection, formatting, and submission for internal reports and external disclosures.
  • Oversee external legal costs, invoice processing, and purchase order requests.
  • Administer insurance renewals and claims within the Group.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Possession of a law degree combined with enthusiasm for progressing a career in law.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Paralegal, consistently delivering accurate and thorough work.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with confidence in handling multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Great attention to detail complemented by strong drafting and document management skills.
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing legal documents with clarity and precision.
  • Capacity to manage concurrent workflows and maintain momentum across tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with a professional approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern document management platforms.
  • Familiarity with legal document handling, corporate secretarial duties, and Companies House filing requirements.
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive amid changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.
  • A proactive, reliable, and collaborative individual dedicated to continuous learning and team development.

Employee Benefits and Culture

  • 26 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays annually.
  • Life insurance coverage.
  • Employer pension contributions.
  • Healthcare cash plan.
  • Access to support services including advice, counseling, and GP services.

  • Discounts on shopping, lifestyle, and gym memberships.

Additional Information

  • Location: London, WC1R 4PS, United Kingdom.
  • Competitive salary to be discussed during the interview stage.
  • Work schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Contract duration: Fixed-term of seven months.
  • Role involves safer recruitment processes including potential disclosure and barring service checks, eligibility verification, and qualification confirmation to support a secure and fair hiring procedure.
  • AMP Clean Energy promotes an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. Assistance is available for applicants requiring reasonable adjustments during recruitment or onboarding.
