Paralegal - Privacy Annotation Specialist (Remote)

Position Overview

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Privacy Annotation Specialist to join our team on a remote contract basis. This role focuses on reviewing and annotating sensitive legal documents for the identification of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and other confidential content, contributing to legal and compliance workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and annotate sensitive legal materials to accurately identify PII and other confidential information.
• Leverage knowledge in contract review and eDiscovery to maintain high standards in data labeling accuracy.
• Validate OCR outputs ensuring the integrity and reliability of data used in legal investigations.
• Work closely with compliance and legal tech teams to uphold information governance and privacy standards.
• Perform quality assurance audits on document batches to confirm regulatory compliance.
• Effectively communicate findings and recommendations across various teams for actionable insights.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Extensive experience in contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, and compliance procedures.
• Strong knowledge of PII concepts and data privacy regulations.
• Prior roles at companies like Consilio, Epiq, Relativity, KLDiscovery, or TransPerfect are advantageous.
• Background in roles such as Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Specialist, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead is critical.
• Proven legal document review experience, including litigation support or managed legal services.
• Experience handling sensitive data within high-stakes environments.

Contract Details

This position is offered as a contract and requires a weekly commitment ranging from 10 to 40 hours. Compensation ranges from $105 to $140 per hour.
