Job description

Overview

Join a busy food manufacturing site as a Packaging Operator, where you will help keep production moving efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality. This role is suited to someone with packaging experience in FMCG or food production who is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and can start immediately.

Shift Details

  • Work location: Virginia, Queensland
  • Roster: permanent day shift
  • Hours: 8-hour shifts, from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm

Role Summary

You will be part of the Assorted Pack Line team, operating packaging equipment, checking finished product quality, and making sure all work is completed in line with GMP and food safety expectations.

Key Duties

  • Run, observe, and fine-tune packaging machinery to help achieve production goals
  • Carry out quality inspections so products match required specifications and presentation standards
  • Consistently adhere to GMP and food safety procedures
  • Prepare packaging lines and complete changeovers when needed
  • Spot equipment or product issues and report them promptly
  • Keep production and quality documentation accurate and up to date
  • Maintain clean workspaces that meet hygiene requirements
  • Work closely with the wider production team to meet daily output targets

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will have prior packaging experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production, along with exposure to packaging lines, processing equipment, and automated machinery. A solid understanding of hygiene, allergen control, HACCP, and GMP is important. You should be detail-oriented, dependable, able to follow procedures carefully, and physically capable of repetitive duties and manual handling. A pre-employment medical assessment is required.
