Based in Melbourne with VidaCorp’s headquarters in Sydney, it is a global, privately owned organization employing over 1,500 professionals. Their beauty brands, including MCoBeauty, Nude by Nature, and others, serve markets in Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK, and Europe, delivering high-quality, value-driven products.
Role Summary
We are searching for a skilled Product & Packaging Designer to contribute to our beauty brands by creating outstanding packaging designs and preparing print-ready artwork. This role entails managing the full design lifecycle from concept creation through to commercialization, working alongside Brand, NPD, Regulatory, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure brand consistency, compliance, and high-quality standards in a dynamic FMCG setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, review, and deliver precise and print-ready packaging artwork aligned with brand identity, regulatory guidelines, and production needs.
- Develop innovative packaging design concepts while preserving brand uniformity across the product portfolio.
- Collaborate effectively with Brand, New Product Development, and cross-functional teams to translate creative briefs into market-ready packaging solutions.
- Maintain organization of artwork projects and documentation with accurate record-keeping, standardized naming conventions, and status updates within internal systems.
- Provide occasional assistance on new product development and packaging changeover initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the artwork development workflow and offer advice on packaging design to internal partners.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Between three and five years of solid experience in graphic design, packaging design, or artwork production, preferably within beauty, cosmetics, personal care, food, or related industries.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating creativity, packaging artwork expertise, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite — including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop — and capacity to adapt rapidly to emerging design tools.
- Proven capability to manage multiple concurrent design projects, consistently meet deadlines, and uphold high accuracy standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, excelling in cross-functional collaboration.
Benefits and Culture
- Access to exclusive employee discounts on numerous brands within DBG Health’s portfolio, such as MCoBeauty, Esmi Skin Minerals, Nude by Nature, e.l.f. Cosmetics, and Chemist's Own.
- Confidential 24/7 counseling, mental health, and financial coaching support through the Acacia Employee Assistance Program.
- Engagement in a values-focused, inclusive, and supportive work environment fostering professional growth, internal mobility, and personal accountability.
- Opportunities for autonomous work with encouragement toward ownership and success.
- Participation in the Bastas Academy for Health Leadership via Melbourne Business School, with programs and coaching designed to develop emerging and senior leaders.
- Access to DBG Health Leadership Academy for structured leadership training, mentoring, and clear career advancement paths.
