Outreach and Engagement Officer

About the role

This is a permanent, full-time position based at AUT’s South Campus in Auckland. The role sits within an engagement team that works across all three AUT campuses to help students discover and use the services offered by Te Mātāpuna Library and Learning Services.

You will play a visible campus role by supporting outreach, student engagement, and day-to-day frontline service. That includes creating social media content, planning and delivering events and activations, and being one of the first friendly contacts students meet at the library helpdesk and through online chat.

The position supports AUT’s Te Aronui journey by helping build a welcoming, inclusive environment where students can thrive.

What you will do

You’ll use initiative to identify what students need and turn those ideas into engaging events and content. You’ll also be a dependable, organised presence at South Campus Library (Manukau), helping keep events and projects on track while providing helpful service in person and online.

The role requires strong people skills, clear communication, and comfort working as part of a collaborative, energetic team across AUT’s three campuses.
