We offer a comprehensive range of services, including inpatient crisis care, a 24-hour helpline, mobile response teams, and outpatient programs across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie counties. Job Summary
New Horizons is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Support and Data Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring clients receive timely services by managing appointment coordination, gathering necessary documentation, and verifying client demographic and insurance information within our electronic medical records system. The specialist will also be responsible for handling client communications via phone, including initial scheduling and follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up client insurance details within the electronic medical records system.
- Managing incoming calls from clients, providing information, and scheduling initial appointments.
- Overseeing the initial client contact and intake procedures to ensure a smooth process.
- Determining and communicating client fees based on agency guidelines.
- Coordinating appointment scheduling to accommodate both provider preferences and client accessibility needs, including face-to-face or Zoom options.
- Performing other assigned duties as required.
Requirements
- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of experience in clerical or scheduling roles.
- Prior experience in a healthcare office setting is advantageous.
- Must possess reliable transportation and be available to work assigned hours.
- Successful completion of a Level 2 Background check via DCF and AHCA Clearinghouse is mandatory.
