Job description
Role overview
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a part-time Outpatient Receptionist to join the Warwick/Stratford Hospital Outpatients team. The department supports patients attending clinics across more than 36 specialties, offering broad exposure to a busy clinical environment.
This position suits someone who is upbeat, adaptable, and keen to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role focuses on delivering a welcoming, efficient, patient-centred reception and clerical service within the Main Outpatient Departments at Warwick and Stratford.
Key duties
You will handle clerical tasks across the computerised Health Records Service, supporting patients, clinicians, and management while helping maintain a smooth and customer-focused service.
The same core clerical responsibilities are carried out across the Warwick and Stratford Main Outpatient Departments, with an emphasis on accuracy, organisation, and effective communication.
Candidate profile
The Trust is seeking a highly motivated person with strong communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. A positive, progressive, and forward-thinking approach is valued.
Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred, though it is not essential. Training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.
Working pattern
This is a part-time opportunity with a combination of fixed shifts. Working hours include 08:00 to 13:30 and 12:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
About the Trust
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust provides services across Warwickshire and beyond, including hospitals in Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, and Shipston-on-Stour, as well as community services throughout the county.
The Trust is a growing and forward-looking organisation focused on improving quality, integrating care pathways, and delivering strong productivity. It is rated Outstanding by the CQC.
Values
Applicants will be expected to reflect the Trust’s core value: being trusted to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care. This will be considered throughout the recruitment process.
