Job description

About the Role

The Y NSW has spent over four decades delivering outside school hours care (OSHC) across communities in New South Wales. Its services give school-aged children a secure, stimulating environment before school, after school, and throughout holiday periods.

This opportunity is for an educator who is passionate about planning safe, enjoyable, and age-appropriate experiences for children. You will help create an inclusive setting where each child’s wellbeing, safety, and participation are supported.

Why Join the Y

  • Work across a network of supportive OSHC services.
  • Enjoy shift options that can be adapted to suit your lifestyle.
  • Gain access to professional learning and career development within a major youth-focused organisation.
  • Contribute meaningfully to your local community every day.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities for children aged 5 to 12 years.
  • Provide attentive supervision and high-quality care.
  • Build positive working relationships with families, schools, and colleagues.
  • Help uphold the National Quality Framework and the organisation’s safeguarding standards.

About You

You should be energetic, dependable, and genuinely enjoy working with children. A qualification in education or a related field is preferred, and you must hold a valid Working with Children Check. Current certifications in First Aid (HLTAID012), CPR (HLTAID009), and Child Protection (CHCPRT025/6) are also required.
