Job Overview
This role is for an Oracle Cloud HCM Technical Consultant who has hands-on expertise in Fast Formula and HCM Extracts, supporting a major Oracle Cloud implementation for a customer in the MEA region. The position is based in Hyderabad and requires close coordination with onsite subject matter experts and functional consultants to carry out offshore implementation work.
Technical Scope
The consultant will own the creation and upkeep of Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, HDL-based data loads, BI Publisher reports, and other technical components within Oracle Fusion HCM.
Core Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll technical solutions.
- Develop and debug Fast Formulas for payroll and related processes.
- Create and support HCM Extracts and reporting solutions using BI Publisher and OTBI.
- Work with HDL/HSDL, FBDI data loads, and Oracle Integration Cloud-based integrations.
- Design and support REST and SOAP interfaces, along with SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
- Handle payroll balances, costing-related technical work, and data processing issues.
- Review quarterly Oracle Cloud patches to assess technical impact and validate custom formulas and extracts after upgrades.
- Investigate payroll processing failures, balance mismatches, and formula compilation issues in production environments.
- Extend HCM Data Warehouse and Oracle Analytics to support custom payroll dashboards.
- Prepare and maintain technical design documents, data flow diagrams, API specifications, and interface control documents.
- Support SIT and UAT cycles, including analysis and triage of technical defects.
Experience Required
Candidates should have 6 to 9 years of Oracle HCM technical experience, including at least 4 years in Payroll Fast Formula development and 4 years working with HCM Extracts and BI Publisher.
Preferred Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering is preferred.
Compliance Knowledge
Exposure to GDPR, SOC2, and payroll data privacy practices is considered valuable for this role.
