About the role
This position is for an Oracle Fusion technical consultant based in Hyderabad. The role is centered on data migration, report building, integrations support, SQL-based data work, testing, and maintaining documentation for audit and compliance needs.
Key responsibilities
You will work across the technical delivery lifecycle for Oracle Fusion projects, with a strong emphasis on migration and reporting activities.
- Carry out data migration and conversion work using FBDI as a mandatory tool and ADFdi where needed.
- Prepare, review, and verify data templates, staging files, and load files.
- Validate migrated data, reconcile results, and correct loading errors.
- Support cutover tasks and repeated migration cycles.
- Build BI Publisher reports, including data models and RTF/XSL templates.
- Create and update OTBI reports and dashboards.
- Handle BIP extracts and scheduling activities.
- Ensure outputs are accurate and suitable for audit review.
- Support integrations through REST and SOAP APIs as well as file-based methods.
- Work with the OIC team during testing and issue resolution.
- Assist in data extraction using BIP and SQL logic.
- Write and tune SQL queries for extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Work with CSV, XML, and JSON data structures.
- Participate in unit testing and support SIT/UAT cycles.
- Identify issues in data loads, reports, and integrations, then retest fixes.
- Maintain migration documents, mapping sheets, and load logs.
- Document report specifications and final outputs.
- Keep reconciliation records ready for audit requirements.
Required skills and experience
The role calls for practical experience with Oracle Fusion technical work, especially FBDI, BI Publisher, OTBI, SQL, and data handling formats. A basic understanding of Oracle Fusion modules such as ERP, HCM, or SCM is also expected, along with awareness of the data migration lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with FBDI is mandatory.
- Practical knowledge of BI Publisher.
- Working familiarity with OTBI.
- Basic experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Ability to work with CSV, XML, and JSON data.
- Understanding of Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM, or SCM modules.
- Knowledge of ETL, validation, and reconciliation in migration projects.
- Exposure to ADFdi is an advantage.
- Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud is an advantage.
- Experience in implementation, support, or upgrade projects is preferred.
- Oracle certification is preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong focus on detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to perform under deadlines.
