Oracle FAH Techno-Functional Support Consultant

Role Overview

Jade Global is looking for an Oracle FAH techno-functional support professional to handle production support, troubleshoot accounting issues, and assist finance users in a live enterprise environment. The role is based in Hyderabad and requires strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub (FAH), Subledger Accounting (SLA), and financial close activities.

Functional Support

• Work on L2 support tickets, review issues, and resolve them within the agreed service timelines.
• Support month-end and period-end close activities by ensuring FAH interfaces run successfully and accounting entries flow correctly to General Ledger.
• Analyze and fix problems such as incorrect account derivations, journals that remain unposted, and suspense account postings caused by mapping gaps or missing SLA rules.
• Assist finance users in understanding FAH error messages, standard exception handling, and system navigation.
• Maintain support documentation, including knowledge base articles, SOPs, and RCA notes for repeat incidents.

Technical Support

• Track daily scheduled jobs, inbound loads such as ETL files and APIs, and concurrent programs connected to the FAH landscape.
• Investigate interface failures, data issues, and performance concerns by reviewing logs, SQL statements, and PL/SQL packages.
• Create, validate, and run data-fix scripts for transaction-related issues while following change control and audit requirements.
• Prepare detailed issue summaries and escalate complex defects or enhancement needs to L3 support or development teams.
• Raise and follow up Service Requests with Oracle Support for product defects or patches, sharing the required traces and diagnostics.

Required Experience and Skills

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Bring 10+ years of experience supporting Oracle FAH in production environments.
• Have practical experience resolving Subledger Accounting issues in live systems.
• Work confidently in an ITIL-based support setup with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
• Understand the Subledger Accounting engine, including journal line types, account derivation rules, and mapping sets.
• Be familiar with P2P or O2C business cycles and their integration with General Ledger.
• Understand financial closing activities and related reconciliation work.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL and PL/SQL effectively.
• Read interface designs and technical flows involving APIs and flat-file processing.
• Use reporting tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, or standard Oracle queries for reconciliation and analysis.
• Communicate clearly, manage urgency well, and handle stakeholder expectations during critical outages.
• Be available to work the 3pm to 12am IST shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification is preferred.
• Experience in Application Managed Services (AMS) will be an advantage.
• Exposure to automated monitoring tools and alert setup for interface failures is desirable.
