Your opportunity
As an Optometrist in the Wellington store, you will work with advanced clinical equipment and provide personalised eyecare advice that supports both visual health and lifestyle needs. The role is centered on quality examinations, patient education, and premium customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out eye tests for a wide variety of patients, including children, contact lens wearers, and therapeutic appointments.
- Recommend suitable lens options by considering each customer’s lifestyle and individual needs.
- Explain lens technologies clearly, including product features, benefits, coatings, and optional extras.
- Support and guide Graduate Optometrists in applying technology and making appropriate product recommendations.
- Partner with the Store Manager and Managing Optometrists to improve eyecare revenue through technology use, efficient optometry workflows, and suitable Medicare billing.
Technology and working environment
You will have access to modern tools such as a retinal camera, visual field analyser, non-contact tonometer, corneal topographer, Optos UWDRS, and OCT. The role requires a strong focus on combining clinical quality with exceptional service.
