Job description
Role Overview
We seek an Optimization Specialist with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team in Chennai or Bangalore. This role involves designing and implementing advanced mathematical optimization approaches to address complex challenges in supply chain, procurement, logistics, production planning, and resource management.
Key Duties
- Create optimization models, including MILP, LP, and IP, to solve business problems effectively.
- Develop and sustain optimization solutions leveraging Python programming.
- Use optimization tools such as PuLP and Gurobi to formulate, solve, and fine-tune models.
- Translate business constraints into precise mathematical models.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver solutions ready for production deployment.
- Conduct solver parameter tuning, validate models, and enhance solution performance.
- Deploy optimized solution workflows on cloud platforms when applicable.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Between 4 and 6 years of experience specializing in optimization techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of Linear Programming, Integer Programming, and Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP).
- Practical expertise with optimization libraries including PuLP and Gurobi.
- Proficiency in Python development for building optimization models.
- Familiarity with supply chain optimization concepts is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Pyomo and OR-Tools is a plus.
- Experience working with SQL databases and Snowflake platform is desirable.
