Job description

Role overview

Stranger Soccer is expanding into major cities worldwide and is looking for a License Owner / Operator to introduce and run the brand in Auckland. This is not a standard management position; it is designed for someone who wants to build, manage, and grow their own local venture while helping football become easier to access in the city.

The role is especially well suited to an entrepreneurial person who is passionate about football and motivated by visible, real-world outcomes from their work.

What the role involves

In this position, you will take responsibility for setting up Stranger Soccer in Auckland and expanding its presence over time. You will manage everyday operations and help create a strong, active football community.

The opportunity goes beyond conventional employment and is aimed at someone who enjoys hands-on ownership, performs best in a results-driven environment, and wants to make a meaningful difference locally.

Key duties

  • Introduce Stranger Soccer operations in Auckland and grow the business locally
  • Build and maintain partnerships with football venues
  • Find, train, and oversee game hosts as well as part-time team members
  • Attract players through creative promotion and community involvement
  • Deliver a reliable, high-quality game experience that encourages repeat participation
  • Keep improving operations and support scaling as the business grows

Support provided

You will not be working alone. The headquarters team in Singapore will back you with the app-based technology platform, including payments and automation, along with an established operating model and continuing guidance for both operations and marketing.

Who this opportunity suits

This position is a strong fit for someone who loves football, understands the local market, and brings an entrepreneurial approach with a strong action orientation. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking full ownership, delivering measurable outcomes, and working in areas such as operations, events, community engagement, or related fields. Strong communication and people leadership skills are also important.

What makes it different

This role offers significant independence and control over local operations, along with the chance to influence growth and success in Auckland directly. It is structured around performance and provides strong upside potential, including the opportunity to create and lead a local team.

About Stranger Soccer
