Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Operator will facilitate standard production tasks as needed, primarily located onsite at Carrigaline, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble sub-assemblies, modules, and finished products according to specified standards.
  • Follow formal procedures, assembly checklists, engineering documents, and drawings.
  • Conduct prototype work under engineering guidance.
  • Utilize various hand tools and torque tools to assemble products using mechanical fasteners.
  • Program parts as required during assembly.
  • Perform manual lifting and rework specific components.
  • Handle components including PCBs, cables, harnesses, electronic sub-assemblies, metallic chassis, connectors, helicoils, and lock wiring.
  • Operate small power and air tools to aid assembly processes.
  • Use substances such as grease, red paint, adhesives, cements, and tape as part of assembly.
  • Complete all production-related documentation diligently.
  • Package cards and units for weekly shipment to customers or subcontractors.
  • Carry out miscellaneous daily tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Receive specific training on equipment as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with IPC7711/IPC7721 and IPC J-Standard and their applications.

Work Environment

  • Tasks may require prolonged sitting or standing, fine motor skills, manual handling, repetitive motions, use of display screen equipment, and handling controlled chemicals.

  • Preferably 2-3 years of relevant hands-on experience in assembly work.

  • Friendly and professional in interactions with diverse personnel.
