Overview

Rocky Mountain Aircraft is hiring a senior operations leader to oversee organizational direction and execution in a commercial aviation and aircraft manufacturing environment. The role is based in Calgary, Alberta and must be performed at the physical work location; remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct how material, human, and financial resources are assigned to carry out company policies and programs.
  • Approve the creation of key departments and senior leadership roles.
  • Coordinate activities across regions, divisions, and departments.
  • Set up financial and administrative controls, approve promotional initiatives, and sign off on overall human resources planning.
  • Define organizational objectives and approve policies and programs.
  • Represent the company in negotiations or other formal matters, or appoint others to do so.
  • Recruit middle managers, directors, and executive-level staff, then delegate authority and ensure suitable working conditions.
  • Offer guidance on financial, business, and tax matters.
  • Lead and coordinate project management efforts.
  • Oversee operational safety.
  • Negotiate business agreements and contracts.
  • Prepare contracts for sales, rentals, or leases.
  • Take part in contract negotiations.
  • Identify and evaluate prospective markets.

Supervision

This role oversees more than 20 employees.

Experience and Specialization

Computer and technology knowledge: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.

Industrial processes and biological studies: Product development.

Areas of work experience: Strategic planning and marketing.

Areas of specialization: Market research, communications, process improvement, and strategy.

Additional Information
