Operations & Sales Officer – Freight Forwarding (Oman – Muscat)

ZOOM Shipping LLC is seeking an energetic Operations & Sales Officer to join our new Oman branch in Muscat. This position plays a pivotal role in driving new business and ensuring exceptional end-to-end freight forwarding operations for a range of clients, spanning importers, exporters, and traders in Oman. Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop new client relationships with importers, exporters, and trading companies within Oman.
• Craft tailored freight quotations, service proposals, and service agreements to win and retain clients.
• Maintain and nurture long-term client connections, ensuring continued business and satisfaction.
• Oversee day-to-day freight forwarding activities (sea, air, and land) for assigned accounts, managing the logistics and progress of shipments.
• Prepare, check, and manage the required shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Customs declarations.
• Liaise directly with shipping lines, airlines, ground transport providers, and Omani customs clearance agents to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Track shipments, handle operational issues or delays, and maintain clear and proactive communication with customers regarding their cargo status.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of experience in both sales and operational activities within the freight forwarding or logistics field in Oman.
• Current and valid Omani driving license (required for regular onsite client visits).
• Comprehensive understanding of shipping procedures for sea, air, and land transport; solid grasp of Omani customs practices and shipping documentation.
• Professional fluency in English is mandatory; fluency in Arabic is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills, problem-solving aptitude, and ability to multitask efficiently with a strong customer orientation.
