About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned and motivating Operations Manager to lead our vibrant leisure travel design team based in Dublin. This leadership position requires hands-on involvement, overseeing the creation and flawless execution of bespoke luxury itineraries across Ireland. You will encourage creativity, maintain seamless operations, and uphold high-quality standards daily in an office environment. Prior relevant experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a close-knit team to deliver exceptional travel programmes on schedule.
- Share your in-depth knowledge of the Irish travel industry ensuring outstanding service and innovative experiences.
- Directly design, manage, and occasionally operate travel programmes.
- Supervise the development and delivery of premium tailor-made travel plans ensuring they impress our clientele.
- Guarantee precise costing of itineraries and smooth booking processes.
- Support the team in customizing trips to match client preferences, styles, and budget requirements.
- Maintain exemplary standards throughout tour execution from start to finish.
- Collaborate closely with Accounts to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
- Generate regular analytical reports using CRM data to guide strategic and operational decisions.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality sales communication and marketing materials reflecting the brand’s integrity.
- Negotiate effectively with suppliers, nurture key partnerships, and maintain a strong preferred partner network aligned with industry trends.
- Contribute ideas to improve team productivity, streamline workflows, and boost conversion rates.
Strategic Contribution
- Provide insights and ideas to enhance the company’s role in global travel trade and consumer markets.
- Identify emerging opportunities and assist in developing products appealing to our niche clientele.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a genuine ability to inspire teams rather than just manage them.
- Minimum five years of relevant industry experience with a Destination Management Company or tour operator, specifically designing and operating experiential travel itineraries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ireland’s geography and culture.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Creative thinker with strong operational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling lasting relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Proactive and solution-oriented leader able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
