Contemporano is a reputable cabinetry manufacturer in Auckland, New Zealand, operating for over 25 years. We specialize in custom cabinetry through two brands: Contemporano supplying cabinet makers, retailers, and trade partners; and Interno designing bespoke kitchens and interior spaces for homeowners and designers.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. This pivotal role involves responsibility for overseeing daily operations, working collaboratively across departments such as Sales, CAD, Production, Installation, and Administration. You will ensure smooth project execution, maintain exceptional customer experiences, and support team success while enabling the Directors to focus on growth and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations for both Contemporano and Interno.
  • Manage production schedules to ensure projects meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Partner with Production Managers to optimize efficiency and workflow.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operational processes.
  • Drive and support Health & Safety programs, fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Collaborate with Sales and CAD teams to exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor operational metrics and report meaningful insights to Directors.
  • Participate actively in the Senior Leadership Team to influence the company’s future direction.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or production operations.
  • Strong ability to inspire and develop team members.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and innovative operational practices.
  • Commercially savvy, confident in managing budgets and job profitability.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Dedicated to workplace health and safety standards.
  • Relevant industry experience in cabinetry, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or a related field is essential.
