The Operations Manager position in the Outbound Transportation Route (OTR) team is focused on meeting customer expectations through first-class delivery services, coordinating multiple stakeholders to ensure operational excellence. This role involves supporting operations growth and scalability across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, communicate, and implement strategy and performance goals ensuring maximized route productivity via training, performance data analysis, and feedback.
- Collaborate with the AMZL Delivery Station management team to maintain and monitor quality control standards.
- Initiate and lead process improvements and apply Lean methodology tools to enhance operations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and monitor task progress.
- Facilitate communication across departments to align goals and tasks for overall program success.
- Engage in strategic planning and forecasting to evaluate performance and resolve issues.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, including cross-functional initiatives involving data collection, analysis, and supply chain strategy development.
- Design and implement improvements to the transportation network aimed at delivering flexible and efficient services to customers.
- Enforce adherence to safety procedures, building security, and measures to prevent product loss.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Over 7 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years managing employees and performance.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, which may include weekends, nights, holidays, and varying work areas.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English fluently.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean techniques.
