Operations Director

Role Summary

The Operations Director will oversee and manage all clinical services at Rampton Hospital, focusing on developing, transforming, modernizing, and integrating in-patient services. The goal is to eliminate unnecessary variation, ensuring safe, high-quality care and treatment while fostering a positive patient experience. The role involves collaborating closely with Clinical Directors and Associate Directors of Nursing to establish strategic care directions and maintain safe care within high secure environments. The Operations Director carries ultimate accountability for the hospital's operational management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Trust and Commissioner planning for high secure services across Nottinghamshire by interpreting local and national policies to guarantee safe, efficient, and effective service delivery.
• Provide strategic assistance to the Forensic Care Group Director working alongside the Associate Medical Director, Nurse Director, and external Commissioners to implement therapy, social care, quality improvement, and performance management programs.
• Work proactively with partner organizations to develop both current and future services, care pathways, and models of care.
• Lead the transformation and modernization of high secure in-patient services at Nottinghamshire Healthcare in partnership with the Senior Team.
• Maintain positive relationships with commissioners to secure funding that supports hospital service advancement.

About Rampton Hospital

Rampton Hospital is one of England's three High Secure Psychiatric Hospitals, offering high secure services to patients with mental illness and personality disorders. It uniquely provides the national service in England and Wales for men with learning disabilities and pre-lingually deaf men with mental health disorders, as well as serving as the only high secure psychiatric hospital for women in England and Wales.
