Operations Director

Job Overview

This role entails onsite operations leadership for cloud business initiatives in East Africa, specifically within Kenya or Tanzania. The working locations include multiple areas within Nairobi such as CBD, Kilimani, Lovington, Westland, Kileleshwa, and Upper Hill. The monthly salary ranges from 15,000 to 20,000 RMB.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire operation of the company's cloud business projects across the East African region, ensuring accountability for regional performance metrics and revenue collection.
• Develop and implement standardized local processes for delivery and cloud operations, managing project lifecycle and customer contract renewals effectively.
• Manage partnerships with government bodies and channel partners while coordinating with headquarters to resolve challenges related to cross-border deliveries and supply chains.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations covering areas such as taxation, data governance, bidding procedures, and labor laws; anticipate and mitigate business risks accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, including 5 years focusing on regional management within international technology firms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms and SaaS project operations.
• Expertise in East African government procurement processes, local policy, and regulatory environments; fluent English required, proficiency in Chinese is advantageous.
• Strong skills in budget management, data analysis, cross-departmental collaboration, and communication with government and business leaders.
• Possession of PMP certification and demonstrable experience leading large-scale national projects.
