Role and Responsibilities
- Manage patient transitions by handing over and taking over patients between operation theatres and floors or ICU.
- Ensure the operation theatre is maintained in a clean and sterile condition consistently.
- Keep thorough records of all OT equipment and perform necessary maintenance or actions when required.
- Organize and schedule OT supplies, instruments, and equipment to maximize their effective use.
- Maintain precise documentation related to patients and equipment following hospital policies.
- Effectively plan and allocate manpower for surgical procedures to avoid unnecessary delays or underutilization.
- Coordinate and provide supportive staff to manage critical events and emergency situations efficiently.
- Encourage open discussion about sentinel events or near misses to foster corrective measures and enhance patient care quality.
- Assist in enforcing adherence to OT policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure patient specimen collection follows identification safety protocols from collection until reporting to the consultant.
- Participate in consultant rounds by sharing nursing assessments and observations to support patient management.
- Conduct routine equipment checks during each handover to confirm operational status.
- Promote patient and accompanying visitor safety by instituting preventive measures against accidents.
- Accurately document and report any incidents or errors without omission.
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control protocols and bio-waste management procedures continuously.
- Conduct mandatory daily briefings and documentation to communicate updates effectively.

Eligibility
