Role overview
This is a practical hose technician position for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has a curious, mechanically minded approach. The role is based in Mount Maunganui and involves delivering onsite industrial hose services to customers, working both independently and alongside other teams across multiple locations.

What the role involves
- Building hose assemblies to the required standards and within the agreed turnaround time.
- Checking and testing assemblies, then recording results accurately in the system.
- Handling customer questions and complaints and working toward fast, satisfactory resolutions.
- Keeping the workshop and service vehicles well presented and ensuring equipment servicing is carried out on schedule.
- Managing job-related costs and following workshop procedures, including health and safety rules.
- Promoting Motion services, spotting opportunities for site work, and helping improve regional workshop output.
- Providing timely and respectful service that protects the company’s reputation and encourages repeat business.
- Taking part in training, following company policies, and assisting with broader team and business needs when required.
Skills and experience needed
- Basic computer skills, together with a current clean driver’s licence and first aid certification.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deal with people at all levels.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to work toward targets and operate with limited supervision.
- Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to work toward relevant industry qualifications.
- Professional appearance, pride in workmanship, and a strong customer service mindset.
- Strong commitment to health and safety, process compliance, and ongoing improvement.
- Comfort working in industrial settings, including at heights and travelling away from home when needed.
