Online Fulfilment Assistant

Role Overview

We are seeking diligent individuals to join the Boots.ie order fulfilment team working onsite in our Cork store. Reporting to the Assistant or Store Manager, your primary duties involve accurately picking and packing customer online orders, managing stock areas including the back shop and stock room, and assisting with deliveries and stock oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick and pack online customer orders using handheld technology to ensure high quality.
• Gather precise information essential for order picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Locate goods within various picking zones throughout the store.
• Operate Pod equipment safely and proficiently.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, legal, safety, and operational standards related to order fulfilment.
• Contribute to broader store operational activities as needed.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Basic understanding of online pick and pack processes.
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain a good working pace.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset geared toward solutions.
• Comfortable working cooperatively within a team environment.
• Effective communication and listening abilities.
• Proficiency and confidence in using digital tools, including handheld mobile devices for order processing.
• A commitment to excellent customer service, including occasional direct customer interaction on the shop floor.
• Flexibility regarding working hours and patterns.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in retail or warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with handheld Pod devices and IT systems.
